Petit Lafitte Hotel

A little slice of heaven. Sweetest place ever. Lovely staff. Great restaurant called Coco Cabana next door. A few nights the music from neighboring resorts was a bit loud and may be tough if you have kids but not the end of the world. The many pros easily outweighed the con. Central location in the Yucatan. Within an hour of everything.

We loved our first stay at Hotel Petite Lafitte. Cozy rooms, friendly staff, and a relaxed boutique vibe made it feel special. The food was excellent. There were fewer choices than big resorts, but much higher quality. Would love to see more vegetarian and gluten-free options. The beachfront is perfect for lounging. Also morning yoga with two fantastic instructors. The beach is not great for swimming, but ideal for relaxing and recharging!

The hotel services were excellent and we enjoy every minute in. We came for a wedding and was perfect! We took few people in the group massages and were amazing! Please try at least one! Very deep relax perfect with the place. Don’t forget to get up early and see the sunrise at least one.

Spent the weekend here for a friend’s wedding. We stayed in a jungle bungalow. It was a bit of a walk, but we got used to it after a day. Stay in the beach bungalows for a more central location. The staff was excellent. Very kind. Always remembered our preferences. The grounds are beautiful. Seating by the pool is limited, but ample chairs at the beach with umbrellas.

We spent 5 days there, from October 30th to November 3rd, 2025 (we booked a cabine one the beach) . It was a really nice trip to relax. The staff is lovely and super welcoming. The food is great — they offer two main options, and we always took both! It doesn’t feel like a big resort with 100 people; it’s small and doesn’t feel touristy at all. You’re about 25–30 minutes away by taxi from downtown Playa del Carmen. It costs around 25 USD one way, and they can book it for you anytime. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a chill and relaxing getaway, whether alone or as a couple..

We had a great stay at Petit Lafitte Hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast offers a lot of delicious Yucatan dishes. The garden in between the bungalows is beautiful and we saw many different animals. Would definitely come back!

Our room could have been cleaned better. We had building construction dust on the floor and it was still there the next day after room service. The location is incredible. Even better than the hotel zone in Cancun. The place has lots of character and romantic atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious, but the buffet is limited and the best stuff is ordered a la carte. You can only order one thing off half the menu or you need to pay for it. When the hotel says breakfast is included when I make the booking, then I don't appreciate seeing that there are a bunch of breakfast items I have to pay for. If you need to feed teenagers, look elsewhere.

Another amazing stay at Petit Lafitte! We have been coming here almost every year for over thirteen years. I only gave the rooms four out of five stars because this isn’t luxury and one shouldn’t expect it. But the rooms are clean, equipped and comfortable, and we rest and relax so well here. We prefer the shoulder season as it is very reasonably priced, as the rate includes a lovely breakfast and delightful dinner. The outdoor palapa dining room is beautiful and very romantic! We always leave planning our next stay. Thanks to the awesome staff at Petit Lafitte. I should mention that Claudia gives an awesome massage, I’ve known her for thirteen years too! The price is currently 900 pesos.
